Pointify POS ("Pointify", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of the shop owners, attendants, and visitors who use our point-of-sale software, mobile and web applications, and our website (together, the "Services"). - Account information. Your name, business name, phone number, and email address when you register for an account or subscribe to a plan.
- Business and sales data. Information you enter into Pointify such as products, inventory levels, prices, sales transactions, and staff records, so that we can provide the Services.
- Payment information. When you renew or pay for a subscription via M-Pesa, we process your phone number and the transaction reference needed to complete the payment. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN.
- Usage and device information. Information about how you access the Services, including device type, operating system, and log data used to keep the Services secure and reliable.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- Process subscription payments and send payment confirmations and renewal reminders;
- Generate the reports, daily summaries, and alerts you have requested;
- Respond to your support requests and communicate with you;
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With trusted partners who help us operate the Services, such as payment processors (e.g. Safaricom M-Pesa), hosting providers, and SMS gateways, under obligations of confidentiality.
